The Indian girls and boys’ groups have gained the Asian under-12 tennis championship in Dhaka.
The boys — Vivaan Mirdha, Smit Undre and Rishikesh Mane — gained all 5 league matches 3-0 every towards Sri Lanka, Bhutan, Maldives, Bangadesh and Nepal. The staff had Indra Kumar Mahajan as coach.
The ladies’ staff of Karthika Padmakumar, Srishti Kiran and Niesha Enja beat Sri Lanka and Bangladesh 3-0 every. It additionally beat Bhutan 2-1, however misplaced 1-2 to Maldives.
India tied with Sri Lanka and Maldives with three wins every, however emerged champion on the premise of higher match-winning share.
