Australian faculty bus driver killed after colliding with escaped camels

An Australian faculty bus driver was tragically killed on Monday (June 5) after his automobile reportedly collided with two escpaed camels. 

According to 7News, the animals ran in entrance of the bus in Central Queensland at round 5:15am after escaping from a close by farm in Nankin, Rockhampton.

Both camels additionally died on account of the accident, which led to the highway being closed in each instructions for a number of hours. 

It is believed the motive force was heading out to start the morning run when the incident occurred. 

Authorities have been alerted after one other driver handed the scene that morning.

Nobody else was on board the bus on the time, in keeping with police. 

Detective Inspector Luke Peachey stated: “It appears that the bus driver has collided with two camels and as a result, the bus driver has lost his life.” 

The animals belonged to veteran camel breeder and racer, John Richardson. 

Mr Richardson defined that 4 camels had in truth managed to carry a gate of their enclosure, two of which headed to the freeway. 

“I’m just devastated,” he instructed ABC News after discovering the gate in query alongside his fence line.

“I’ve never had a gate come off like that.”
