Lorry ploughs into boy leaving teenager preventing for all times in hospital

Police are interesting for witnesses after a teen was left in a important situation after a collision with a lorry. 

The 17-year-old boy was rushed to hospital by air ambulance after the incident on the A66 at Penrith, in Cumbria, at round 12.41pm on Tuesday. 

Police are asking anybody who might need sprint cam footage from the time to come back ahead. 

An announcement from Cumbria Police learn: “Officers investigating a serious collision on the A66 at Penrith are appealing for witnesses.

“At 12:41pm yesterday (14 June), officers obtained a report of a collision on the A66 eastbound carriageway between junction 40 of the M6 and Kemplay Bank roundabout. The collision concerned a HGV and a pedestrian.

“The pedestrian, a 17-year-old boy from Penrith, was taken to hospital by air ambulance in a critical condition.

“Officers are interesting for anybody who witnessed the collision or have sprint cam footage which can help the investigation to contact them.”
