Comic Roy ‘Chubby’ Brown banned from one other venue

Veteran comic Roy ‘Chubby’ Brown has been cancelled by one more venue after Rhyl Pavilion determined to dam the 78-year outdated from reappearing subsequent 12 months.

In April, Durham County Council barred Brown from acting at Consett’s Empire Theatre, with Hoyle insisting that the “snowflakes would not get us down”.

Another wrote: “When the hell are these people going to wake up and learn? People are still paying money to go and watch Chubby… Chubby is still hilarious and telling very funny jokes, to an audience that want to hear proper comedy!! If you don’t like it, then don’t buy a ticket!”

A 3rd added: “Terrible! I was at the last show in Rhyl and thought it was fantastic. Laughed from beginning to end. Pavilion were very happy taking my money when I paid to watch the show, but won’t allow us to see him again at the venue!”

And a fourth stated: “What a country we live in where we listen to people who are offended by the contents of a show that they aren’t going to see it. The whole world is an absolute joke!”

It comes after the comedian – actual identify Royston Vasey – claimed he was informed he won’t be invited again to Crewe’s Lyceum Theatre. Further performances have been cancelled in Colne.
