Liam Gallagher’s hips ‘mashed up’ due to ‘unhealthy’ situation thought of frequent

The rockstar admitted again in 2022 that his hips have been “mashed up” due to “bad” arthritis.

In the candid interview with The Sun, Liam stated: “My hips are f****d. I’ve got arthritis, bad.

“I went to get it checked out and my bones are mashed up. The girl was going, ‘Oh, you may want a hip operation, a substitute.'”

While, at the time, he believed he would “slightly simply be in ache” than get a hip operation because of the “stigma”, the 50-year-old conceded.

By early 2023, Liam revealed on Twitter that he had his hip operation after all.

“Morning Rastas so I had my hip operation final wk [sic],” he wrote on February 5, 2023. “All went effectively.”

“And RESPECT to all of the medical doctors n nurses who sorted me. Big shout out to the A crew for getting us residence secure n sound [sic].”

When asked about his recovery from a fan on April 13, Liam replied: “Getting there, nonetheless a bit sore.”

A hip operation, the NHS says, can result in a “important discount in ache”, most commonly caused by arthritis.

The procedure is designed to last for at least 15 years and the operation should improve a person’s mobility.

Considered a “main surgical procedure”, an offer of a hip replacement is usually only offered when physiotherapy and steroid injections have not helped reduce pain or improve mobility.

Following a hip operation, patients tend to stay in hospital for up to five days.

The recovery period, however, can vary from person to person, but people will require crutches when they first leave the hospital.

When Liam had crutches, Radio X reported on one of the musician’s anecdotes.

“So I’m at a marriage on me [sic] crutches,” Liam reportedly said. “Somebody turns spherical and says, ‘That’s not very rock ‘n’ roll, is it?’

“I said, ‘It is if I whack you round the f*****g head with it.'” He quipped: “Still got it.”
