Pakistan: Fatalities confirmed and dozens injured after Karachi to Rawalpindi practice derails

At least 30 folks have been killed and 60 are injured after a practice derailed in Pakistan.

The incident befell close to the city of Nawabshah within the southern Sindh province, officers have mentioned.

The Hazara Express was travelling from Karachi to Rawalpindi when its 10 carriages went off the monitor, they added.

Railway minister Khawaja Saad Rafique mentioned: “Ambulances are rushing towards the scene.

“An emergency has been declared on the Nawab Shah and Sukkur hospitals.”

Traffic on the railway was halted so repairs could possibly be made.
