Sara Sharif’s uncle has spoken out whereas being held in police custody following the teen’s dying.

Sara’s exact cause of death currently remains uknown. However, Surrey Police said a post-mortem revealed she suffered “a number of and intensive accidents.”

They believe they were “more likely to have been brought on over a sustained and prolonged time frame”. Surrey County Council also said Sara was previously known to the authorities.

Police in Pakistan are searching for Urfan Sharif, who is said to have travelled with two adults and five children. It is believed he returned to his family home in Jhelum, Punjab – about 84 miles (134km) away from the capital.

Surrey Police continue to investigate Sara’s death. A statement from the force said: “No piece of knowledge is insignificant, so when you can assist, please contact us.
