A person has been arrested on suspicion of homicide after a lady disappeared in Kent.
Claire Knights, 54, from Upstreet close to Canterbury, was final seen within the village on 23 August, police stated.
Her silver Suzuki automotive has since been discovered parked in one other village, St Nicholas At Wade, officers added.
She is believed to have walked from there to Minnis Bay, the place there are reported sightings of her later that afternoon.
Ms Knights is assumed to have been carrying a crimson or pink rucksack and was strolling her brown and white spaniel, Zebulon.
But whereas her canine was present in Minnis Bay, Ms Knight stays absent.
Her disappearance is “now being treated as suspicious”, Kent Police stated.
The arrested man is from Margate.
Detective Chief Inspector Kath Way stated it’s “entirely out of character” for Ms Knights to not contact her household.
She added: “We are keeping an open mind as to what may have happened and still hope to find Claire safe and well.”
