Audience member Ryan Redmond instructed Sky News that two males and two ladies had been being “rude and abusive” on the balcony – however refused to depart after being spoken to by employees.

“It was the 7.30 show and it happened during the interval and delayed the second half by 20 minutes,” Mr Redmond mentioned.

“Bar staff told me one had been rude or abusive and was asked to leave then others in the group got involved.”

A Metropolitan Police spokesperson mentioned in a press release: “Shortly before 8.40pm on Saturday, August 26, police received reports of two men and two women causing a disturbance at a theatre in Tottenham Court Road, W1.

“Officers attended and the group had been escorted from the premises. No arrests. No accidents reported.”
