“I’m very upset, I’m 82, and I think to myself maybe because I’m old they’re putting me to the bottom of the list.
“Can somebody tell me what good a telephone call is for that? (my condition).”
Jeremy requested Mary if her situation was painful, to which the emotional octogenarian stated: “Every day I feel sick, every single day.
“I’m 82, and I’m thinking what on earth is the point, waiting till January for a phone call?”
Mary stated she was initially “distressed” it was taking so lengthy for an appointment, however her physician advised her “well, that’s the state the NHS is in”.
