Scores of supporters were caught in a crush at the entrance, with many lacking as much as 20 minutes of the match. The 2023 match organising committee have admitted to errors with stewarding and pledged to resolve the problems directly.

Fans of each England and Argentina had been caught in a heavy crush within the build-up to Saturday’s World Cup conflict, that the Red Rose won 27-10.
