Scotland’s first ever design museum opened on September 15, 2018 and has since welcomed 1.7 million guests.
Artist Kate Colin created 500 geometric paper twists containing candles, impressed by architect Kengo Kuma’s design for the constructing, and schoolchildren, guests and neighborhood teams left messages inside them with their hopes for town to mark the anniversary.
Children as younger as 5 who visited from native main faculties took half within the occasion, which will likely be adopted by extra celebrations over the weekend.

Celebrations on Saturday will characteristic music performances by Be Charlotte and Andrew Wasylyk, free entry to the Tartan exhibition, and avenue meals on the plaza.
There will even be household actions, free museum excursions and the opening of a brand new everlasting show on V&A Dundee’s structure, Stories From The Building.
