ScotRail practice drivers vote to simply accept new pay deal, union ASLEF says

Train drivers in Scotland have voted to simply accept a pay supply from ScotRail.

The deal signifies that drivers will see a 5% fundamental pay enhance for 2023/24, backdated to 1 April, with an additional 1% rise from 1 October.

Union ASLEF stated its members at ScotRail voted 75% in favour of the deal.

Kevin Lindsay, ASLEF’s Scottish organiser, stated: “This is a resounding vote in favour of accepting the improved pay offer and it shows the importance of a positive approach to industrial relations.

“It is now excessive time that the Rail Delivery Group and the Tory authorities do the identical in England and negotiate respectfully and with a willingness to pay our members what they want and deserve.”

ASLEF members have been carrying out overtime bans as a part of a UK-wide pay dispute.

Earlier his summer season, each RMT and Unite unions – which characterize conductors, engineers, ticket examiners, station employees and others – accepted the same supply.
