AC/DC 2024 tour ‘being planned’ after first dwell present in seven years
Back in 2016, AC/DC concluded their Rock or Bust world tour and Angus Young was the final authentic band member standing.
Having been susceptible to listening to loss, singer Brian Johnson was changed by Axl Rose, rhythm guitarist Malcolm Young had retired resulting from dementia, drummer Phil Rudd couldn’t tour due to ongoing authorized issues after which bassist Cliff Williams announced his retirement.
A yr later Malcolm sadly died from the results of dementia and it regarded like the long-lasting rock band was achieved.
But then rumours started to floor of a brand new album, which manifested in 2020’s Power Up, with Cliff popping out of retirement to document.
Three years on and AC/DC have simply carried out their first dwell present in seven years at Power Trip Festival in Indio, California.
Brian, Cliff and Stevie Young had been again with Angus, alongside Matt Laug stepping in for Rudd on drums.
The rockers carried out a 24 tune set on Saturday evening which included dwell debuts of Demon Fire and Shot within the Dark, alongside classics from Back in Black and Thunderstruck to Highway to Hell.
This was AC/DC solely formally deliberate dwell present, however rumours abound of a 2024 tour.
A supply instructed the Daily Star’s Wired column final month: “For a while it looked like an AC/DC would never play live again. Technology has helped Brian get back to doing what he loves best. More dates are being looked at for next year, some big shows.”
And talking with the Fuelling Around podcast in the summertime, Brian sounded fairly optimistic about future AC/DC exhibits, saying: “Trying to get those guys back together again was tough but I’ve got my fingers crossed – everything is going ok. The most important thing about it all is the eagerness we all feel, the juices are running again.”
