Aerosmith postpone farewell tour dates after frontman Steven Tyler injures vocal cords throughout New York gig

Aerosmith have been pressured to postpone a number of dates on their farewell tour only a week after kicking off, after frontman Steven Tyler injured his vocal cords throughout a gig.

The rock veterans began the Peace Out tour in Philadelphia on 2 September and had been taking part in in New York when Tyler, 75, sustained the injury to his voice on Saturday evening.

“I’m heartbroken to say I have received strict doctor’s orders not to sing for the next 30 days,” the singer posted to a few million followers on Aerosmith’s Instagram web page.
