Back to the Future stars, Steven Spielberg reunite at musical’s Broadway debut

After opening in London’s West End two years in the past, Back to the Future the Musical has now transferred to Broadway’s Winter Garden Theatre.

Original UK manufacturing Doc Brown, Roger Bart, leads the New York solid of the stage model of the basic 1985 time journey comedy.

Film trilogy and present creators Bob Gale and Robert Zemeckis have been in attendance this week on the gala premiere by Times Square, alongside the flicks’ govt producer Steven Spielberg.

Joining them have been the movie’s Doc and Marty themselves Christopher Lloyd and Michael J Fox, alongside Lorraine star Lea Thompson.

This was the primary time that Fox had seen Back to the Future the Musical reside, having beforehand solely watched a video recording of the West End manufacturing.

At the time, Fox stated of Back to the Future the Musical: “I’m buzzing from what is a truly great show. It captures the entire BTTF Experience through sensational casting, effective story edits, great Tech work & Special FX.

“The actors were impeccable, with an energy and passion commensurate with us originals. And the music is freaking great, from the Huey Lewis songs to the Silvestri score and all the new songs and set pieces. It really is a small miracle. Congratulations to all of the amazing people involved. It looks like a hit to me!”

Also in attendance at Back to the Future the Musical’s Broadway opening evening have been the trilogy’s unique composer Alan Silvestri and Glen Ballard who wrote the music and lyrics for the songs all through the present.

Meanwhile, Huey Lewis, whose tracks Power of Love and Back in Time function within the first film, joined the celebrities on the pink carpet too.
