Casualty episode breaks TV guidelines over swear phrases on display – as subtitler is ‘disciplined’

An episode of Casualty breached broadcasting guidelines after swear phrases appeared in subtitles earlier than the watershed – regardless that the offensive phrase was not used within the script.

Media watchdog Ofcom obtained a criticism about offensive language within the elective subtitles of a repeated episode of the British TV collection, which aired on June 12.

The programme included two situations of the phrase “f*****g” regardless of the present’s audio not utilizing any offensive language.
