Ed Sheeran says Eminem ‘cured’ his childhood stutter
d Sheeran has opened up concerning the private impression that Eminem’s music had on him rising up and stated it helped him remedy his stutter.
Appearing as a visitor on The Howard Stern Show, the Shape Of You singer, 32, recalled the life-changing second he was gifted a replica of the rapper’s The Marshall Mathers LP.
“By learning that record and rapping it back to back to back to back, it cured my stutter,” Sheeran informed the astounded host.
The Suffolk-based star has beforehand spoken about his stutter, explaining in a 2015 interview that it developed after he underwent laser surgical procedure to take away a facial birthmark.
“One day, they forgot to put the anaesthetic on, and ever since then, I had a stutter,” Sheeran stated on the time.
Elsewhere in his chat with Stern, Sheeran spoke about how his life got here full circle when he really fashioned a friendship with Eminem after first assembly him in 2017.
He stated: “I think it’s different with Eminem because he is quite reclusive, doesn’t see or meet that many people,” Sheeran stated.
“I’ve known him now six years and we’ve done three songs together, I’ve played with him twice on stage. He’s another person I really relate to, as he lives in his hometown still and has his ecosystem around him.”
