Euphoria star Angus Cloud dies aged 25 – per week after burying his father

Euphoria star Angus Cloud has died at his household’s residence in Oakland, California.

The 25-year-old was mentioned to have been struggling after burying his father in Ireland final week.

Cloud performed drug vendor Fezco in 17 episodes of the hit HBO drama, alongside the likes of Zendaya and Hunter Schafer.

A household assertion mentioned: “It is with the heaviest heart that we had to say goodbye to an incredible human today.

“As an artist, a buddy, a brother and a son, Angus was particular to all of us in so some ways.

“Last week he buried his father and intensely struggled with this loss.

“The solely consolation we now have is understanding Angus is now reunited along with his dad, who was his finest buddy.”

The assertion added: “Angus was open about his battle with mental health and we hope that his passing can be a reminder to others that they are not alone and should not fight this on their own in silence.

“We hope the world remembers him for his humour, laughter and love for everybody. We ask for privateness at the moment as we’re nonetheless processing this devastating loss.”

US site TMZ reported that Cloud’s mother had called 911 on Monday about a “doable overdose”.

Emergency services told NBC News they were called at about 11.30am but the “affected person was decided to already be deceased” once they arrived.

They mentioned the reason for demise was at present unknown.

In a press release, Euphoria creator Sam Levinson mentioned: “There was no one quite like Angus. He was too special, too talented and way too young to leave us so soon. He also struggled, like many of us, with addiction and depression.

“I hope he knew what number of hearts he touched. I beloved him. I all the time will. Rest in peace and God Bless his household.”

HBO tweeted that it was “extremely saddened” by Cloud’s death and called him “immensely proficient”.

The actor had posted a picture of his dad on Instagram on 14 July – alongside the message “miss u breh”.

Cloud was working in a restaurant in Brooklyn, New York, when he was scouted for his first acting role by Euphoria’s casting director.

He also appeared in the films North Hollywood and The Line.

Euphoria has been a huge hit, with HBO saying it’s the channel’s second-most watched show since 2004 behind Game Of Thrones.

In 2022, Twitter also said it was the most tweeted-about show of the decade in the US and that Cloud’s character had the most posts.
