Bryan Randall, the long-term companion of Oscar-winning actress Sandra Bullock, has died after a three-year battle with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).

The 57-year-old’s household revealed the news in an announcement to the US journal People.

The household mentioned the photographer “chose early to keep his journey with ALS private”, including: “Those of us who cared for him did our best to honour his request.

“We are immensely grateful to the tireless docs who navigated the panorama of this sickness with us and to the astounding nurses who grew to become our roommates, typically sacrificing their very own households to be with ours.

“At this time we ask for privacy to grieve and to come to terms with the impossibility of saying goodbye to Bryan.”
