“We found that the human breast, like other organs, accumulates mutations with age. “Also that pregnancy has an additional effect meaning, that older first-time mothers might have a higher chance of developing harmful changes in their breast cells compared to other women.”
The analysis was printed this week within the journal Nature Communications. The Imperial College London staff revealed that the dataset of mutations that they had found may now be used as a reference for different breast most cancers researchers, spurring hope of a progressive step ahead within the illness battle.
