Footage has additionally been seen of different hard-left attendees on the Marxist competition bodily attacking different members of the protest group.

“Metal broken parts of our equipment were also used to beat our team, in this unprovoked attack.”

The police have made no arrests however mentioned enquiries are ongoing.

A Metropolitan Police spokesman mentioned: “Police were called at 12.55pm on Saturday, July 1 to reports of an assault during a protest on Russell Square.

“Officers and the London Ambulance Service attended. An 18-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment for a head injury. He has since been discharged. Two other people sustained minor injuries.”
