Russia warns of escalation to struggle if UK retains supplying weapons to Ukraine
ussia’s ambassador to the UK has warned of an escalation to the struggle in Ukraine as Britain and different Western allies commit extra weapons to help President Volodymyr Zelensky.
Speaking to the BBC’s Laura Kuenssberg, Andrei Kelin mentioned the actions of Nato international locations, “especially” the UK, danger lengthening and triggering a “new dimension” within the struggle.
He mentioned Russia had “enormous resources” and regardless of the struggle already raging for over a 12 months, he claimed his nation had not but began to “act very seriously”.
Mr Kelin mentioned: “Russia is 16 times bigger than Ukraine. We have enormous resources.
“Sooner or later, of course, this escalation may get a new dimension which we do not need and we do not want. We can make peace tomorrow.”
When requested about widespread mounting proof of Russia’s struggle crimes, the ambassador mentioned Ukraine was the one committing struggle crimes.
He then modified tack and mentioned the United Nations had no energy to research struggle crimes.
