‘Sleaze buster’ Sir Chris Bryant joins Labour frontbench
The Labour chief appointed the senior MP, who was in Gordon Brown’s authorities, as shadow minister for artistic industries and digital on Wednesday.
It is known Sir Chris is within the technique of resigning from his distinguished place as chairman of the Commons Standards Committee, which scrutinises the behaviour of MPs.
Sir Chris stated he’s “delighted” to tackle the position, working underneath shadow tradition secretary Thangam Debbonaire and shadow science secretary Peter Kyle, who had been each appointed to the highest roles at first of Sir Keir’s reshuffle.
“Creativity drives the UK’s potential. It creates jobs. It enlivens our imagination. We need to cherish and celebrate it and make it available to all,” Sir Chris wrote on social media.
