The Prime Minister insisted he’s cooperating with Baroness Hallett’s investigation into the pandemic response regardless of the row threatening to finish up within the courts.

Boris Johnson has mentioned he’s blissful at hand over his unredacted messages and faces dropping authorities funded authorized assist if he does so with out permission from the Cabinet Office.

Mr Sunak mentioned it was “not at all” the case the transfer was designed to cover something.

He informed broadcasters he was ‘spending a lot’ of time co-operating with the inquiry.

Quizzed over whether or not he was frightened about being left crimson confronted over his personal messages, the Prime Minister mentioned: “No, not at all.”

He mentioned he was co-operating and offering data to the inquiry.

“It’s actually taking a lot of my own time, but that’s right that I do that,” he added.

“But obviously there’s a legal proceeding ongoing on one particular thing at the moment, which I can’t comment on.

“But extra broadly, the work that the inquiry is doing is necessary and obligatory, and people concerned ought to co-operate in a spirit of candour and transparency. That’s what I’m doing and that is what the Government’s doing.”

Asked if he had full confidence in Lady Hallett, he replied: “I feel the Covid inquiry is doing necessary and obligatory work.”
