Pochettino declares ‘everything is possible’ at Chelsea after enormous £173m double deal
The Argentine is refusing to restrict Chelsea’s ambitions in his debut marketing campaign, together with an unlikely title cost for a membership which completed twelfth final season.
Chelsea have gone on to sign Caicedo from Brighton for a British switch document £115million, together with £58m midfielder Lavia from Southampton.
Asked whether or not the brand new signings enhance each the expectation and stress round him, Pochettino mentioned: “I said even before the signings that we need to expect to win, we need to expect to have a mentality that we will be there and everything is possible.
“Now we have Moises and Romeo of course, but it’s not going to increase the percentage or the belief.
“I think we had the belief before and now the team is going to have better tools, quality players and, for sure, better players bring you closer to winning.
“I can feel the excitement from the people, even from the players who were already here. But when Caicedo and Lavia decided to come here, it was a big boost also to say: ‘We’re at a club where everything is possible’.
“The feeling also that is translated to everyone is that they wanted to join us and I think that is so exciting, you can feel the energy at the training ground.
“That’s fantastic, we are so happy and now we have to work hard, play and enjoy. I think the fans are happy and I think they showed it against Liverpool that they were behind the team, they were very loud and animated. The feeling is very good and the players really appreciated the energy from the fans.”
Chelsea really feel energised beneath Pochettino however with Christopher Nkunku, Trevoh Chalobah, Wesley Fofana, Benoit Badiashile, Armando Broja and Marcus Bettinelli all out; harm issues threaten his optimistic begin.
Worryingly, newly-named captain James suffered his eighth harm in 12 months this week after hurting his hamstring in training.
Although Pochettino says he’ll solely be out for “a few weeks”, he admits James’ recurring issues want correct investigating.
He added: “We are going now to try to find all the information and try to create a strategy to provide him with the best.
“The best things for him to become strong, to recover well, become strong and to try to avoid and anticipate these types of problems before they happen. It is a big job.
“The club is working really hard to create a structure with us involved because in the end, you can create a medical area, performance area, everything but in the end when you talk about professional, in this level, it’s high performance.”
