Tiger Woods’ plans to construct a sports-themed bar simply minutes from the world-famous St Andrews Old Course have hit a roadblock with a petition opposing the event reaching 10,000 signatures. Woods has a detailed affinity to St Andrews having gained The Open in Fifa again in 2000 and 2005.
And the American sports activities icon introduced plans to open a brand new sports activities bar close to the Old Course final month. The 47-year-old mentioned: “I’ve been lucky sufficient to take pleasure in many particular moments right here at St Andrews.
“We all wished to carry our T-Squared Social idea to St Andrews so as to add to the local people and be a welcoming place for these residing in St Andrews and for guests alike.
The plans are for the sports activities bar to open in 2024 on the city’s New Picture House, that includes state-of-the-art golf simulators, bowling, darts and a number of televisions dotted across the place.
