A Belgian TikToker faked his personal demise to search out out who cared after which turned as much as his personal funeral.

David Baerten, 45, and his spouse and youngsters determined to prank family and friends members to search out out what they actually thought him.

To unfold the news of Mr Baerten’s demise, one in all his youngsters took to social media and wrote a tribute to her father.

She wrote: “Rest in peace Daddy. I will never stop thinking about you.

“Why is life so unfair? Why you? You had been going to be a grandfather, and you continue to had your entire life forward of you.

“I love you! We love you! We will never forget you.”

The funeral, which was staged final weekend close to town of Liege, was attended by many family and friends members wearing black.

Everyone was ready for the ceremony to start, however as an alternative, they had been met by a touchdown helicopter.

In the video posted on TikTok by a funeral attendee, Mr Baerten stepped out of the helicopter alongside a digicam crew and was then greeted by mourners.

Some of Mr Baerten’s household and associates are seen working as much as him within the footage amid emotional exchanges, whereas others stay confused and perplexed within the automobile park.

According to The Times, the TikToker mentioned that he faked his demise to see how his wider household would react and mentioned he felt “underappreciated” by them.

He added: “What I see in my family often hurts me, I never get invited to anything. Nobody sees me.

“We all grew aside. I felt unappreciated.

“That’s why I wanted to give them a life lesson, and show them that you shouldn’t wait until someone is dead to meet up with them.”

Mr Baerten, also called Ragnar le Fou on TikTook, claimed some family members have been reaching out to him because the prank including it “proves who really cares about me. Those who didn’t come, did contact me to meet up. So in a way, I did win.”
