Aston Villa crew bus attacked after Premier League match towards Burnley

Aston Villa’s crew bus has been attacked after their Premier League match towards Burnley.

The incident befell at junction 10 on the M65 motorway following the sport at Turf Moor on Sunday afternoon, police stated.

Burnley Football Club stated they have been “saddened and dismayed” to study in regards to the assault.

“Having spoken with Villa we are relieved to hear nobody was hurt in the incident,” the membership added.

“We strongly condemn this behaviour and can assist Lancashire Police of their efforts to seek out whoever was accountable.”

Lancashire Police stated a brick was thrown on the bus which struck the windscreen and precipitated some injury to the automobile.

Supt Melita Worswick stated: “It is nothing but good fortune that the brick didn’t cause more damage, or result in somebody being seriously injured or even killed.

“We can’t say at this level whether or not this was a focused assault however enquiries are ongoing and this can type a part of our investigation.”

Villa beat Burnley 3-1 within the match after two objectives within the first half by defender Matty Cash, and one other within the second by Moussa Diaby.

The outcome marks Burnley’s second defeat since their return to the highest flight.

Aston Villa declined to touch upon the assault on their bus.
