Child donkey stolen from Hampshire farm discovered and reunited together with her mom

A child donkey snatched from a farm in Hampshire has been discovered secure and properly after greater than two weeks.

Two-month-old Moon was taken from a field at Miller’s Ark Animals in Hook on 15 May.

However, involved animal lovers had been left delighted on Thursday when the farm introduced she had been discovered and reunited together with her mom, Astra.

“Yesterday evening we travelled to Buckinghamshire, liaised with Thames Valley Police and have recovered little Moon,” Millers Ark posted on social media.

“We are beyond thrilled and Mum and foal are finally back together. Moon appears to be in good health, thank heaven, and we will make sure that Moon and her mum Astra get lots of love and care as they re discover each other.”

The farm thanked police for his or her fast response and the “amazing people” who shared the news of the child donkey’s disappearance.

Pleading for assistance on social media two weeks in the past, the farm mentioned workers had been “completely devastated and incredibly concerned” by the disappearance, as a result of younger age of the animal.

“This little donkey will be braying loudly tonight because she will be missing her mum badly. This is our chance to find her,” they wrote.

The submit was shared by hundreds throughout Facebook and Instagram, even attracting the eye of tv presenter Kirsty Gallacher, who wrote: “Honestly I can’t bear this. Will do all I can to help on here spread the word.”

According to the farm’s web site, Miller’s Ark Animals is predicated on the Earl of Malmesbury’s property and specialises in breeding British uncommon breed cattle, together with Irish Moiled cattle and miniature Mediterranean donkeys, amongst others.
