Dying of girl, 27, in Falkirk automobile crash handled as homicide

A homicide investigation has been launched after a lady was killed in a automobile crash in Scotland.

Amy Rose Wilson, 27, died within the two-car collision on New Carron Road in Falkirk on Saturday night.

Police Scotland say they’re treating her loss of life as homicide.

In a press release, the household of Ms Wilson – who was from the Bo’ness space – stated: “We are all devastated by the loss of Amy Rose.

“We are asking for privateness at what’s a really onerous time for her household and everybody who knew her.”

A male passenger who was in the silver Vauxhall Vectra that Ms Wilson was driving was treated for injuries at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh.

A 39-year-old man, who was driving a black Volkswagen Tiguan involved in the crash, suffered minor injuries.

Police said the collision happened at about 6.10pm after a black Mercedes C-Class pursued the Vauxhall Vectra on to New Carron Road.

There had been an earlier “altercation” involving the occupants of Ms Wilson’s car and the Mercedes in Foundry Street, the force added.

Officers are trying to trace the Mercedes, which was carrying a number of passengers.

The Mercedes fled the scene after the crash and was last seen heading north on New Carron Road.

Detective Inspector Hazel Reid said: “It is crucial we hint the occupants of the black Mercedes who fled the scene.

“We believe this vehicle has pursued the Vauxhall in a dangerous fashion, resulting in a crash with the Volkswagen Tiguan.”

Detective Chief Inspector Susan Balfour stated: “Amy Rose’s death is being treated as murder and our thoughts are with her family and friends at this time.

“Our investigation is ongoing and I want to reassure the general public that we now have a devoted crew of officers engaged on this investigation to ascertain the complete circumstances of what occurred.”
