Father begged little lady to ‘open her eyes’ as she lay dying on the street

A mom has paid tribute to her “sweet treasure” daughter who was killed in a hit-and-run whereas taking part in outdoors her residence.  Katniss Selezneva, aged seven, was hit by a motorcycle which fled from the spot and the police is questioning a 14-year-old boy within the incident. 

According to the eyewitnesses, the teen was taking part in on a scooter outdoors her home in Blakenall, Walsall, when she was killed.

Her mom Tsvetelina ran from her residence after listening to the crash and watched as neighbours carried out CPR on Katniss. 

She was airlifted to hospital after the horrific incident on Thursday night however tragically died from her accidents.

A 14-year-old boy was later arrested in reference to the incident.

In a heartbreaking Facebook publish, Tsvetelina, initially from Bulgaria, wrote: “God took her away too young and fragile.” 

She added: “I don’t have energy and I don’t wish to say goodbye to you, my star. How to allow you to go, my coronary heart is bleeding, my soul is aching. Who will care for you now up there my angel.

“I’m powerless, phrases should not sufficient, no comfort. Every day she instructed me, ‘I love you mom, you are the best mother and the most beautiful because you take care of me and do everything to make me happy’.”

She continued: “First you turned a star within the sky and cried that someday mother can be a star within the heaven and you’ll be left with out me. 

“Why did you let me cry mother, why Lord what sins do I pay Lord to take her away from me! Where are you mother, the place did you go!

“You were so strong, healthy, smiling, always in the three races, why couldn’t you fight for your life mom, your dad was calling you – ‘open your eyes Katnis, dad is here, open them’ – but you closed them forever! Rest in peace sweet treasure!

“May your path be vibrant so you aren’t afraid in the dead of night with out mother and pop! Peace to your soul! Mama someday will come to you. Amen!”

Family friend Becca Hodson posted on Facebook: “Heartbroken for little K’s family. She was such a polite, beautiful girl and will be missed by plenty, poor little baby.” 

Katniss was believed to have a twin brother and an older sister. Their dad Bodo works as a driver.

West Midlands Police claimed that they are continuing to question the 14-year-old boy in connection with the tragedy. Officers looking for the blue and black road bike involved in the devastating collision. Several bunches of flowers were placed at the scene on Friday, as well as soft toys and a balloon.

Det Sgt Paul Hughes, of the force’s serious collision investigation unit, said: “This is an absolutely tragic event which has resulted in the death of an innocent child. We have still to recover the motorbike involved and I know someone out there in the local community knows where the bike is. I now need that community to come together and work with me. This is not about protecting people, this is about doing the right thing. 

“As such I would urge anyone with any information, however large or small, to make contact with us. This is a heartbreaking situation that no family should ever go through and my thoughts are with the family of this young girl.”

The girl’s family are aware and being supported by specially-trained Family Liaison Officers, said the force. A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called to reports of an RTC on Turnstone Road in Walsall just after 7pm last night (Thursday). Two ambulances, two paramedic officers, a MERIT trauma doctor and critical care paramedic along with the Midlands Air Ambulance from Tatenhill were sent to the scene.

“On arrival, crews found a pedestrian and a motorcycle had been concerned in a collision and the pedestrian, a feminine youngster, was in a crucial situation. She was receiving primary life help and ambulance crews instantly took over to offer superior life help and trauma care earlier than she was conveyed on blue lights to Birmingham Children’s Hospital for additional remedy.”
