Large delays after ‘watermelon spillage’ brings M25 site visitors to standstill

A “spillage of watermelons” has precipitated a four-mile standstill on the M25 this morning (August 16) because the street is blocked off. The queue is at J31 A1306, close to Lakeside Shopping Centre, heading in the direction of the Dartford Crossing.

The incident is on the M25 clockwise with site visitors cameras displaying in depth delays for motorists.

CCTV photos shared by National Highways present autos restricted to 1 lane as street employees seem like clearing up the mess utilizing brushes.

The site visitors monitoring web site INRIX says congestion is restricted to a few miles from J29 (A127 Romford) and for a mile on the London-bound A13 previous Thurrock.
