Isle of Man aircraft crash horror as plane smashes into cliff face

A aircraft has smashed into the facet of a cliff within the Isle of Man, emergency companies have confirmed. 

One individual was believed to be aboard the plane when it hit the cliff face close to Port Erin on the island earlier on Monday. Their situation will not be but recognized.

Plumes of smoke have been seen rising from the rock face shortly after the crash at round noon, with first responders racing to the scene. 

A spokesperson for Isle of Man police mentioned a significant operation was underway after the incident at close to MIlner’s Tower at Bradda Head.

As of yesterday night the realm remained cordoned off, with groups “working with aviation crash investigators through the evening”.

A spokesperson for Isle of Man Constabulary mentioned: “The water and air space around the site is also closed to the public.

“Additionally, there’s a short-term restricted airspace for drones and different gentle plane.”

One witness wrote on Twitter: “I phoned 999 immediately, witnessed the flames go up after listening to a low plane engine noise however wasn’t positive the place it was.

“The engine noise I heard was normal however I can’t be 100% certain it was that aircraft as it’s near the airport.”
