Main UK COVID scientist dies in biking accident close to Italy’s Lake Garda

A number one member of the federal government’s well being science crew has died after falling in a biking accident close to Lake Garda in Italy.

Susannah Boddie, 27, was killed whereas biking downhill within the mountains above Toscolano Maderno at round 10am on Friday morning.

She was on vacation together with her companion on the time, and sustained catastrophic accidents, regardless of carrying a helmet.

Ms Boddie was the lead well being knowledge scientist at Number 10 and had been working as a civil servant since her commencement from the University of Cambridge in 2019.

According to her LinkedIn, she turned Health Team Manager at Number 10 in December 2022.

Her household mentioned in a press release: “Susannah lived life to the full and had achieved so much in her short life. She crammed more into her life than you would have thought possible.

“She was the loveliest, kindest one who all the time impressed and cared for others and was adored by all her many mates. She will go away the largest gap in our household and that of Rob her much-loved companion.

“She was the most wonderful daughter, sister, grandaughter and friend you could ever wish for and her memory will continue to inspire us in all we do.”

Both Ms Boddie and her companion have been mentioned to be skilled cyclists, having simply completed a tour of the Dolomites and had been resulting from return to the UK this week.

A Downing Street spokeswoman mentioned: “Susannah was an incredible scientist, an inspiring sportswoman, a loved and admired colleague and friend to those at No 10 and many others within the civil service.

“Our ideas are together with her household at this tough time.”
