Man combating for all times and toddler in hospital after being hit by practice

A person and two-year-old boy are in hospital after they have been hit by a practice at a metropolis station.

The incident occurred at Garrowhill station in Glasgow at about 7.30pm yesterday night.

British Transport Police (BTP) stated the person is in critical situation in hospital though the kid’s accidents should not presently believed to be life-threatening.

A police spokesman stated: “Officers attended and two people – an adult man and a two-year-old child – were taken to hospital where they both remain.

“Both folks sustained accidents from being hit by a practice.”

The spokesman continued: “The kid’s accidents should not presently believed to be life-threatening, and the person stays in a critical situation.

“Detectives are investigating the full circumstances of the incident and believe there were a number of people on the platform at the time who may have witnessed what happened.”

They urged anybody who noticed what occurred and has not already spoken to police to contact BTP by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40 with reference 564 of July 2.

ScotRail has confirmed the incident occurred between Airdrie and Queen Street Low Level stations. 

The firm final evening tweeted: “Unfortunately we have had reports of an incident between Airdrie and Queen St low level.

“We are working intently with emergency providers throughout this time and can hold you up to date.”

They added: “Due to the continued incident and no various transport in the mean time, prospects ought to be suggested to make their very own preparations at current.”

The service was running normally again as of this morning, ScotRail confirmed today.
