More than £50,000 raised for Nottinghamshire Police officer hit by practice

More than £50,000 has been raised for the police officer in Nottinghamshire who was hit by a practice final week.

Dan Fletcher, who has been referred to domestically as a former police officer, arrange the crowdfunding effort on the weekend with an preliminary goal of £50,000.

That goal has since been surpassed, with donations reaching greater than £54,500 by Tuesday afternoon.

It comes after the officer, who has not been named by the pressure, was left with “serious injuries” after being hit by a practice close to Balderton in Nottinghamshire.
