Nottingham rampage: Police say suspect ‘stole’ van from considered one of victims

The Nottingham assault suspect accused of  three folks is alleged to have “stolen” a white van from his third sufferer, which he later drove into three extra folks on a close-by avenue, in response to the native chief. “The van was then stopped on Maple Street, where a man was tasered and detained by police officers on suspicion of murder. A man in his 50s was also found dead from knife injuries in Magdala Road by a member of the public.

“At the moment, we believe that the suspect has stolen this man’s vehicle and driven it to Milton Street, where he is then driven at members of the public.

“We are still in the early stages of the investigation. I need to determine exactly what the motives were behind this attack.”

 

She added that the “families of all the victims have been informed and are being supported by specially-trained officers”. 

The Chief Constable declined to supply extra particulars on the identification of the 31-year-old suspect however emphasised that the police weren’t searching for anybody else. 

She added: “I want to thank those who live and work in our city for their patience and understanding in incredibly difficult circumstances. 

“We will, of course, keep the public updated as soon as we are able to say anything further.”

Previously, it had been believed that the third sufferer was a person in his 60s killed in his residence, as reported by the Daily Mail. 

However, the newest report from Nottinghamshire Police suggests the third sufferer, who was confirmed to have been in his 50s, not 60s, was killed on Magdala Road outdoors his residence. 

After he was killed, an assailant then stole his white Vauxhall Vivaro Van and tried to kill three extra folks on Milton Street.

The incident has shocked the small, 331,000-person metropolis as vigils have already been arrange throughout Nottingham. 

 

A vigil at Nottingham’s St Peter’s Church, within the metropolis centre, was attended by lots of of individuals paying their respects to those that died and people injured.
