Several travelers have expressed their anger on Tripadvisor as they shared their experiences. 

One of the users commented: “Dirty, full of litter and crowded with grubby shops, cafes and takeaways.

Another stated: “St Ives is a gorgeous little town but does not have the infrastructure to support so many visitors.

A 3rd customer complained: “Generally a very quaint and friendly town.

“But overshadowed by poor parking, overcrowded streets, poor pedestrian areas mixed with traffic and the number one problem DOGS!….they are everywhere and not everyone likes the, but judging from visiting other cornwall towns the councils like to encourage them. Was with a young family and will not return.”

However, the cornish common city has  Barbara Hepworth Museum and Sculpture Garden or One Fish Street, and a seafood restaurant with a highly-rated tasting menu, which is value visting.
