Pensioner arrested after aged lady ‘attacked’
A 77-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of homicide after a lady died after an alleged assault on Saturday morning.
Thames Valley Police (TVP) discovered the lady unconscious in a property in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, simply after 8am on Saturday.
They had obtained reviews a lady in her seventies had been attacked.
The lady was taken to hospital, the place she later died.
Police launched a homicide investigation and arrested a 77-year-old man from the realm on suspicion of homicide.
The man stays in custody and police are “confident that this incident is contained”.
Senior investigating officer Detective Chief Inspector Dejan Avramovic of Thames Valley Police’s Major Crime Unit stated: “Tragically, following an incident yesterday morning, a lady has died.
“There will be a scene-watch in place at the location, and if you have any concerns, you can address these with any of our officers at the scene.
“I recognize incidents resembling it will trigger concern in the area people, however I might reassure the general public that we’re assured that this incident is contained, there is no such thing as a wider danger to the area people and we aren’t searching for anyone else in reference to the incident.”
