Three hillwalkers discovered useless in Glencoe after failing to return from hike

Three hillwalkers have been discovered useless in Glencoe after failing to return from their hike.

Emergency companies have been known as to the Aonach Eagach ridge on Saturday night time when the trio have been reported lacking shortly after 9pm.

Their our bodies have been subsequently found throughout a search.

Police Scotland, HM Coastguard, the RAF and Glencoe Mountain Rescue Team took half within the restoration operation.

Aonach Eagach is claimed to be one of many narrowest ridges on the British mainland and requires a scrambling capacity to cross.

The rocky six-mile stretch contains two Munro summits – Sgorr nam Fiannaidh at 3,175ft excessive and Meall Dearg at 3,124ft excessive.

Police Scotland stated the deaths don’t seem like suspicious.

A drive spokesperson stated: “We have been made conscious of concern for a gaggle of three hillwalkers who had not returned from the Aonach Eagach ridge in Glencoe shortly after 9.05pm on Saturday 5 August.

“A search was carried out and the bodies of three people were found. HM Coastguard as well as Glencoe and RAF mountain rescue teams assisted with the recovery operation.

“There don’t seem like any suspicious circumstances. A report might be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
