Tributes paid to ‘shining star’ as lady quizzed over automotive crash at college
ommunity members have paid tribute to a “shining star” after a automotive crash at a college in south-west London killed an eight-year-old lady throughout an end-of-term tea social gathering.
Police are persevering with to query a lady in her 40s after a Land Rover Defender crashed into The Study Prep faculty in Wimbledon simply earlier than 10am on Thursday.
The lady was arrested on arrested on suspicion of inflicting loss of life by harmful driving. Officers are usually not treating the incident as terror-related.

Ian Hewitt, chairman of the All England Lawn Tennis club, also laid flowers at the scene.
He told reporters: “We feel closely associated with the community. What a tragic incident – we just offer our heartfelt sympathies to all affected.”
An area trainer, who didn’t wish to be named, instructed the PA news company: “A friend of mine has friends who have children who go to the school.
“She said they have all kinds of broken bones including a broken pelvis.
“I’m a teacher and I’m a mother and it could have happened to us. It could have happened to anybody.”
London Ambulance Service stated it despatched 15 ambulances to the incident and handled 16 sufferers on the scene. Twelve have been taken to hospital.
The Met had not given any replace on the situation of these in hospital as of Friday morning.
The faculty stated in an announcement that it was “profoundly shocked” by what occurred.

“It is still far too soon to fully understand what happened, but we are well aware of the significant impact this dreadful event will have on our pupils and their families.
