Lady who was bitten by two rottweilers dies – weeks after the assault
A lady has died following a canine assault final month, Merseyside Police has confirmed.
Marie Stevens was bitten on the legs and arms by two rottweilers in Netherton, Merseyside, on 18 August.
The 40-year-old died on Sunday 3 September after collapsing at residence, police mentioned.
Officers had been referred to as to her handle on Holden Road in Brighton-le-Sands by the North West Ambulance Service shortly after 9.10am.
A autopsy recognized the first reason behind demise as a pulmonary embolism.
Police mentioned final month’s assault was reported on Park Lane West in Netherton. Officers on the scene gave Ms Stevens first assist till the ambulance arrived.
She was handled in hospital and later discharged.
A 41-year-old man and 68-year-old lady had been arrested on suspicion of being accountable for a canine dangerously uncontrolled inflicting damage.
The pair have been bailed with circumstances.
