Clare Nowland, who had dementia and weighed simply 43kg, was critically injured after police responded to studies she was wandering her care dwelling with a knife at about 4am final Wednesday.
New South Wales Police mentioned she died on Wednesday night “surrounded by family and loved ones”.
The officer who Tasered Mrs Nowland has been charged with assault.
Constable Kristian White has been underneath police inner investigation for the reason that incident and has been suspended from responsibility with pay since Tuesday.
Mrs Nowland was receiving palliative care in hospital in Cooma, New South Wales.
She fractured her cranium in a fall after the officer shot her with a stun gun in her retirement dwelling in an incident which sparked a nationwide outcry.
White was ordered on Wednesday to look in courtroom on July 5 on costs of recklessly inflicting grievous bodily hurt, assault occasioning precise bodily hurt and customary assault. The officer might now face upgraded costs.
