"Katie's shown me around. I've found a lot of spots that I quite enjoy so it's been great, especially when the weather's good. There's a lot of similarities with Australia.
"A giant factor for me is espresso. They love their espresso right here as properly, the breakfast locations are sort of the identical vibe. And one factor that I did not have rising up in Australia or Spain is the countryside. I've grown actually keen on the greenery."
Group B of the Davis Cup holds plenty of talented players, and De Minaur is the highest-ranked player there. The Australian has reached a career-high ranking of 12 after making the US Open last 16 this year and hopes to continue this performance into the Davis Cup.Β Β
He explained: "I've performed some nice tennis during the last couple of months and I'm actually proud of the place my degree is at. It's going to be an excellent check this group stage, loads of superb gamers. Hopefully I can carry all of it collectively and carry out."
Australia narrowly missed out on a victory last year, losing to Canada in the final, and De Minaur believes that his team can go all the way this year.Β
He added: "That's the dream. Last 12 months gave us loads of starvation and fireplace and need to essentially be capable to accomplish this as a crew.
