Andrew Neil has listed a collection of questions that also want answering within the ongoing row over Nigel Farage's checking account being shut.

The BBC yesterday apologised to the former Ukip and Brexit Party leader over an inaccurate story that cited a supply as saying he was lower off by Coutts as a result of he fell beneath the wealth restrict.

Following the most recent growth, Mr Neil took to Twitter to share quite a lot of questions for the distinguished non-public financial institution and its proprietor NatWest Group.

"Again, given Rose is the main suspect, what is NatWest chairman Howard Davies, never usually backward in coming forward, doing about it? Why only silence from him and the board?

"And from Coutts CEO Peter Flavel? Did he play no function within the plan to ditch Farage? Was he simply Rose’s prepared puppet?

"The Bank dossier on Farage says the decision to close his account had to be referred up to [name deleted]. Was that Flavel? Or Rose?

"And what function did Coutts chairman Lord (naturally, it’s an inclusive financial institution, bear in mind) Remnant play? What did he know when he grew to become chair in January?"

Mr Neil had previously tweeted questions for Coutts after Mr Farage obtained documents from Coutts showing his bank account was closed at least partly due to his political views.

It comes as the politician-turned-broadcaster has sought to put pressure back on NatWest after winning an apology from the BBC yesterday.

He has already received an apology from Dame Alison but is calling on Sir Howard to launch an internal investigation into the leak.

Mr Farage last month went public about his bank account being shut and claimed it was politically motivated.

The BBC cited a supply as saying it was a "business" decision because he fell below the financial threshold required to hold an account with the prestigious private bank.

But the Brexiteer acquired dossiers indicating he was cut off because his views did not "align" with Coutts' values

BBC News CEO Deborah Turness wrote a letter of apology to Mr Farage on Monday, whereas Mr Jack tweeted that the reporting had been based mostly on data from a "trusted and senior supply" but "turned out to be incomplete and inaccurate".
