Speaking to Talk TV, she explained: "I am unable to reveal all the pieces. Something important did occur to vary my thoughts.

"I'm not going to go blabbing about what happened. I need to process things.

"Something did do and I feel it is for one of the best."

Ms Dorries denied Mr Sunak had blocked her appointment to the House of Lords.

She gained a 24,664 robust majority in 2019 in Mid Bedfordshire however with Labour up to now forward within the polls, any by-election will probably be a check for Mr Sunak's Government.
