Lord Frost has launched his bid to change into an MP on the subsequent common election.
The former Brexit minister confirmed that his title has been positioned on a Conservative candidate checklist.
But the Tory peer stated he's not linked to a selected seat regardless of reviews he might go for Mid Derbyshire.
Lord Frost stated: "I am grateful to the party authorities for accepting my application as a potential Conservative candidate for the House of Commons, the centre of our national political life.
"I've not but utilized for any seat and am contemplating my subsequent steps. Meanwhile I look ahead to campaigning for the get together and for Conservative ideas within the months to return."

Lord Frost, who is on the right of the party, has previously floated the idea that he could run to become an MP despite his peerage.
If he gains a seat in the Commons, he would have to give up his position in the Lords.
Lord Frost rose to prominence as the UK's chief Brexit negotiator in 2019.
He led talks with Brussels that led to Boris Johnson's revised Brexit withdrawal settlement.
He was appointed to the Lords in 2020 and served as Brexit minister in Mr Johnson's Cabinet.
Lord Frost give up in late 2021 in protest on the "present route of journey", citing concerns over Covid lockdowns.
He also called for Britain to move "as quick as attainable" to a "flippantly regulated, low tax, entrepreneurial economic system, on the innovative of recent science and financial change".
According to The Telegraph, the Conservative peer could replace outgoing MP Pauline Latham as the Tory candidate in Mid Derbyshire.
Ms Latham is standing down at next year's election and has a majority of more than 15,000.
Lord Frost is among the speakers due to address the National Conservatism Conference later this week.
The event will see several high-profile ministers and Tory MPs gather in the aftermath of bruising local elections which saw the party lose around 1,000 councillors.
