A promising British Muay Thai boxer has been left significantly injured in Thailand following a botched surgical procedure which left him with one leg 3cm shorter than the opposite. 

Connor McBride, a former British Junior Champion, wanted corrective surgical procedure after a catastrophic automobile accident in Koi Samui, Thailand, final 12 months - leaving him with a badly fractured femur.

"We however are very thankful that there were no further injuries and that frankly he was still alive, as it could have been worse."

Initially, Connor's family members assumed that his boxing journey would possibly come to an finish. However, Hayley stated that her brother's sheer willpower to reclaim his place within the sport has left the household astounded 

Hayley added: "Initially, we had thought that his boxing career would be finished but he has literally amazed us all with his determination to get back into the sport.

"His complete life has been turned the other way up with the accident itself and now having to have revision surgical procedure to appropriate these ongoing points that are hindering his therapeutic has been exhausting and irritating. 

She instructed Express.co.uk: "Connor also hasn’t had the accessibility of his family around him which I know he finds hard too, but even though he’s been played these set of cards, he’s determined to show resilience and brace himself for the whole process again, knowing the revision surgery will potentially get him on track to being able to compete again.
