A British vacationer has drowned in entrance of his associate in Majorca.

The man was taken from the ocean by lifeguards who spent virtually an hour making an attempt to revive him on the sand, earlier than his demise was sadly confirmed.

Local reviews say the authorities have been alerted at roughly 3.30pm native time on Thursday.

One witness mentioned: "She saw him floating in the water after he went for a swim.

"Lifeguards pulled him out of the water and tried to revive him earlier than emergency responders took over once they arrived."

The man has so far not been named.

An investigation into the man's death will now be investigated, with a local judge ordering it to begin immediately.

Puerto Pollensa is a favourite holiday destination with British tourists.

It comes months after a British man drowned in entrance of his teenage son in Tenerife.
